Hello
I’m Courtenay, and it’s so nice to meet you.
I’m a reader first — and I love getting lost in stories. There’s something magical about slipping into a fictional world and forming attachments to characters so real they stop feeling fictional at all.
That’s what great storytelling does: it builds a world that captures the senses and refuses to let go.
I write contemporary romance that leans into emotion, connection, and the beautifully imperfect ways people find their way back to themselves — and to each other.
My Story
I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember. When I was fifteen, my grandmother passed away suddenly. In an attempt to lift my grandfather’s spirits, we bought him a Mills & Boons novel. That same day, I spirited the book away to a quiet corner of the garden and read it, completely engrossed. I smuggled it home and kept it hidden under my mattress so I could read (and re-read) it at night. I think that’s when the romance bug bit — though I didn’t fully understand it at the time, and I certainly wasn’t about to ask my mum to buy me more.
Years later, I realised my reading tastes were nothing to be embarrassed about. I devoured anything that interested me, and when I discovered ebooks and self-published authors, that’s when my true love affair with romance began.
Today, I write stories that explore connection, vulnerability, and the quiet moments that change everything. I’m drawn to characters who feel real — flawed, hopeful, and deeply human — and to the idea that love can be unexpected, complicated, and utterly transformative.
There’s nothing quite like weaving words into a world readers can disappear into — and I’m so glad you’re here to share it with me.
